About Upton
Upton Engineering built unusually large two-wheel-drive tractors in Australia during the 1960s and 1970s. Its machines used heavy surplus and industrial components rather than conventional small-farm tractor layouts.

History and legacy
Early Upton tractors used military-surplus components, while later machines drew on truck and construction-equipment hardware. The HT-14/350 exemplified the company’s unusually heavy two-wheel-drive approach. The archive distinguishes the end of tractor building from the engineering business’s later irrigation-equipment activities.
