About Wallis
Henry Wallis developed tractors through the J.I. Case Plow Works, with a formal Wallis company organized in 1912. Massey-Harris acquired the plow works in 1928 and later retired the Wallis badge.

History and legacy
Case Plow Works was a separate business from the Case Threshing Machine company that produced Case tractors. That distinction matters when tracing the Wallis lineage. Massey-Harris continued the tractor program after its 1928 purchase, replacing the Wallis name with its own by 1932.
