History and legacy
Orange Coast Imports had already handled Chinese oil-drilling equipment before moving into tractors. It displayed agricultural machines at western US farm shows in 1983. The archive describes the tractor import agreement falling apart by 1985; that is an endpoint for this arrangement, not a universal closure date for Chinese tractor manufacturing.
