About Stihl
STIHL’s short-lived tractor program supplied small German farm tractors after World War II. It was a separate chapter in the company founded by Andreas Stihl in 1926 and best known for forestry machinery.

History and legacy
The tractor archive describes production approximately from 1949 to 1965, although individual model listings begin slightly earlier. The small tractors addressed postwar agricultural demand. Ending that product line did not mean STIHL’s forestry-equipment business closed.

Index power values can include estimates derived from belt or PTO power. They are identified on each model card and are not interchangeable with a measured engine rating. Model years and missing values follow the source index.
