About SFV
Société Française de Vierzon grew from Célestin Gérard’s machinery workshop of 1848. It later became known for hot-bulb tractors before passing to J. I. Case.

History and legacy
An attempted tractor modernization in the late 1950s was unsuccessful. The factory’s later construction-equipment role continued until 1995, so the end of SFV tractors and the eventual site closure were different events.
