About Rumely
Rumely began making threshers in La Porte, Indiana, in 1853. Its OilPull tractors and later Advance-Rumely identity preceded Allis-Chalmers’ purchase in 1931.

History and legacy
The OilPull arrived in 1910, and a 1911 merger brought the Advance-Rumely name. Later efforts to sell smaller tractors faced difficulties. The 1931 acquisition ended production of the listed lines rather than founding the original company.
