About Hinomoto
Hinomoto was the tractor name used by Japan’s Toyosha. Hitachi Construction Machinery acquired Toyosha in 1990, and the Japanese operation adopted the Tierra name in 1997.

History and legacy
The original Hinomoto tractors belong to Toyosha’s Japanese manufacturing history. A later revival of the Hinomoto name by Portugal’s Sotrac for imported TYM tractors is a distinct branding chapter, reported by the archive from 2021. A reused badge does not necessarily identify the original manufacturer.
