About Hart-Parr
Charles Hart and Charles Parr established an engine business in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1897 and moved to Charles City, Iowa, in 1901. Their gasoline-tractor operation later joined Oliver in 1929.

History and legacy
The founders met as engineering students at Wisconsin. City and engineering-history sources distinguish the original engine enterprise from the 1901 factory move and the first production tractors of the early 1900s. The Oliver merger in 1929 carried that manufacturing lineage into a larger group.

Index power values can include estimates derived from belt or PTO power. They are identified on each model card and are not interchangeable with a measured engine rating. Model years and missing values follow the source index.
