About Fordson
Henry Ford launched Fordson tractors in the United States in 1917. The name later became associated with British tractor production before Ford unified its regional tractor identities.

History and legacy
U.S. manufacturing shifted toward Britain in 1928, and Fordson remained a familiar British badge for decades. The brand transition in 1964 was a consolidation of tractor lines, not the collapse of Ford’s manufacturing business.
