About Fahr
Fahr was established in Germany in 1870 and began making tractors in 1938. It later became part of Deutz’s agricultural business and the Deutz-Fahr identity.

- Deutz takeover began in 1961; later Deutz-Fahr branding
History and legacy
Postwar tractor production expanded, but consolidation changed the business’s direction. The takeover, end of original tractor production, and development of a combined badge were separate stages, not a single new-company founding event.

Index power values can include estimates derived from belt or PTO power. They are identified on each model card and are not interchangeable with a measured engine rating. Model years and missing values follow the source index.
