Eicher’s tractor history connects a German manufacturer founded in 1930 with an Indian operation established in 1959. TAFE bought the Indian tractor business in 2005.

History and legacy
The German business’s later financial difficulties and reported disappearance in 2006 do not describe the Indian operation’s fate. Treating them as one uninterrupted company would obscure the separate ownership paths.
