About Cub Cadet
Cub Cadet began as International Harvester’s garden-tractor brand and was sold to MTD in 1981. Its later compact farm tractors used Mitsubishi and then Yanmar manufacturing relationships.

History and legacy
Mitsubishi-supplied compact tractors arrived in 1993. A 2006 agreement introduced Cub Cadet Yanmar machinery, with Yanmar taking full control in 2011 and dropping Cub Cadet from those tractors. These changes concern product lines and do not establish that the whole Cub Cadet brand closed.
