Chamberlain manufactured Australian tractors at Welshpool, Western Australia. Deere began acquiring the business in 1970, and local tractor production ended in 1986.

History and legacy
Chamberlain used a former armaments factory. Deere influence became more visible in the 1975 Sedan 80 range and later green-painted models. After local manufacturing stopped, imported Deere tractors replaced that factory’s output; that was not the end of Deere’s Australian business.
