About CBT
Companhia Brasileira de Tratores operated in Brazil from 1959 until production ceased in 1995. It developed from assembling Oliver tractors into making locally designed machinery.

- Tractor production ended in 1995
History and legacy
Increasing local design and component manufacture led to CBT-branded tractors by the 1970s. Exports reached other American markets. The reviewed history links the 1995 end of production to changes in Brazil’s market protections rather than identifying a successor buyer.

Index power values can include estimates derived from belt or PTO power. They are identified on each model card and are not interchangeable with a measured engine rating. Model years and missing values follow the source index.
