About Ascot Universal
Ascot Universal was a Canadian import label for Romanian-built Universal tractors. Surviving model listings document the machines, but provide little confirmed detail about the importer’s founding or eventual fate.

- Founder / origin
- Ascot Sales in Canada; individual founder not verified
- Known for

- Sale / later history

An import label rather than a separate factory
TractorData associates Ascot Universal with Ascot Sales, which imported Romanian Universal tractors into Canada and sold them under the combined name. That distinction separates the Canadian marketing identity from the Romanian manufacturer.
Limits of the surviving record
The source explicitly provides few further business details. Production-year ranges in its model catalog should not be treated as proof of when Ascot Sales was founded, sold, or closed. Those company-level dates remain unverified.

Index power values can include estimates derived from belt or PTO power. They are identified on each model card and are not interchangeable with a measured engine rating. Model years and missing values follow the source index.
