Prepare the checklist
Kubota’s general maintenance checklist includes tires, visible leaks, fluid levels, fasteners, controls, and unusual noise or vibration. The company also directs owners to their specific operator manual. Treat that general list as a prompt to locate your model’s instructions, not as a universal service procedure.
Make a short checklist you can actually use. Put observation items on one side and anything requiring a manual-directed check on the other.
Inspect without creating a new hazard
Before approaching the tractor or attachment, follow the manual’s parking and shutdown procedure. Make visual observations from a safe position with equipment secured. Do not reach under unsupported equipment, touch hot components, open a hot cooling system, or search for a pressurized leak with your hand.
If you find damaged parts, a leak, or a questionable safety device, record the concern and arrange the appropriate repair before use. A checklist should help you stop when something needs attention.
Keep a brief record
Write the date, hour-meter reading, and any new observation. A repeated spot under the tractor or a changing tire condition is easier to explain when you have a few dated notes. Add completed service to the same record so your next inspection starts with useful context.
